Unfortunately no more Confirmation applications will be accepted for 2021 as the preparation has already started.

11.10.2021 – Confirmation Update

Due to COVID restrictions, only the candidate, the sponsor and 2 others can attend your selected Confirmation mass (total of 4 people).

07.10.2021 – Confirmation Update

Dear parents and carers,

The Confirmation ceremonies and rehearsals will be as follows:

  • Friday, 5 November, 6pm with the rehearsal for this Mass on Thursday, 4 November at 5pm in the Church;
  • Saturday, 6 November, 12pm and 2.30pm with the rehearsal for both Masses on Monday, 1 November at 5pm in the Church;
  • Sunday, 7 November, 12pm and 2.30pm with the rehearsal for both Masses on Wednesday, 3 November at 5pm in the Church;

The rehearsal and Confirmation Mass will be booked together as a package.  For example if you book the Confirmation Mass on Friday 5 November, you will need to attend the rehearsal on Thursday, 4 November.  Only the candidate and one parent/carer may attend the rehearsal due to COVID restrictions.  If no parent/carer can attend the rehearsal, another trusted adult – the Sponsor, Godparent maybe – may attend the rehearsal instead.  Bookings will be made via TryBooking (details below).

The Confirmation Masses will be livestreamed for family at home.  Again, because of COVID restrictions, each Mass is capped at 30 children.  The livestreaming will be done via the All Hallows YouTube channel.  This link to this channel is: Parish All Hallows Five Dock You-Tube

As an important part of the preparation, we would like children to go to Confession before their Confirmation. Year 6 children at All Hallows will be offered the opportunity during school hours. Others may attend the normal parish Confession times (Saturday- 8:30am – 9am / 4:45pm – 5:15pm)  and there will be two additional times:

  • Monday, 25 October, 5-6pm;
  • Thursday, 28 October, 5-6pm.

Children should just come to the Church at these times.

Fr Danny has been delegated authority by the Archbishop to officiate at these Masses, but he will try and get a Bishop to cover some or all.

Bookings for the Confirmation masses will open on Monday, 11th October at 7am.  The TryBooking link to book the mass you would like to attend is as follows:  https://www.trybooking.com/BUMTN.  Bookings close on the 20th October so please make sure you have booked before then.

Please book 1 ticket per candidate.
